45:37 Listening to your interview with Mitch and his description of writing in hiddeness made me think and remember. I’m not a songwriter but I am a writer and a poet. Poetry for me involves exactly the same process and spending time with God in the secret place is where it’s safe to process and allow Holy Spirit to show me what I cannot see within the situation, trauma, or pain. Words are powerful and as long as I yield to Him, He gives me the words or vision that ministers to me and later to others who read those words. Amazing! 🙌

Hearing this song, reminds me of Amy Grant's song "Better than a Hallelujah." Just the raw honesty of it.. God wants it all. Sometimes we want to withhold what we are truly feeling while we're in these circumstances. We're afraid that we're going to hurt God, not understanding that (1) God already KNOWS we are having those feelings, and (2) He desires for us to pour out our hearts to Him. God is a refuge. SELAH!

Admitting to only reading partial of Gods word and reading only the "grace and love" portion... shows the obstructed view of God many have. 2 Timothy 3:16 "ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Its not "church politics" its Gods word. And respectfully, you do not just write songs for the church. You are a platformed worship "Leader". Love requires truth and grace. Not just grace. A good father disciplines his children. Its out of love i say this. I dont believe you're a heretic, everyones learning as they go but i do challenge you to read the full word of God and remember the only true power is through the gospel of Jesus Christ, not the eloquence of words or even your art. Romans 1:16

I walked into the prayer room October of 09. I have no grid for the moment. I’m not charismatic I fly from California on the advice of a friend. I was a 40 year old man who had encountered Jesus only 2 years earlier. This hippy looking kid, Corey asbury, is singing “no more shackles, no more chains” and I am overwhelmed with the presence of God and I speak in tounges for the first time because I have no words. And I don’t believe in this stuff. It’s 10pm and the place is packed and wow. What a moment I will never forget it. Life changing does not begin to describe that moment.

I don't know if you will ever see this, but WOW! This discussion was way more than I expected to get out of it! One of my all time favorite worship songs is Reckless Love, and I literally cry every single time. And just listening to all the flack you received, my heart really understands. The church has its issues for sure. I grew up in the church with a pastor as a father, and I watched the church terrorize my family for living in obedience and following His direction. And so I get that feeling. And then when I heard your story about how you chose your family over more money and fame, etc, and just a little over 2 months ago, my husband walked away from a job (for very different reasons) to protect and heal our family as well in obedience to God. He still doesn't have a job right now, but your story encouraged me that doing the right thing may not look like we expect, but we can count on God leading us, protecting us, and guiding us. He will be there through it all. Thank you for that encouragement. I just started bawling as you talked about that because it was a God moment for me to hear that. Thank you for that!

Oh my goodness! This is amazing! I’m just a singer in my church worship group, but my primary calling is to intercede, and when the voice goes and I’m too old to keep that going, the intercession will be my go to. BUT I sing as a prayer, I sing with a heart’s desire for breakthrough and I’m not done yet with where God wants to take me with learning to bring the people to the Lord and then step back and watch Him and them meet each other. The priesthood is crucial, the hiddenness is crucial, and don’t do any of this if you are missing this out xx Its too important xx

Going by scripture, we must only eat foods that are created by God not man. Not processed foods made in a lab which is most any precooked food at the grocery store. To honor our body as his temple. Food addiction is more likely to happen with these processed foods, like sugar, seed oils & artificially flavors. Sometimes we can still binge on Whole Foods, which I had struggled with. we must remember that greed is a sin & so is laziness, to be at a healthy weight honors God & his creation.

I find it so difficult to trust what God thinks over what I think about myself. And then when you have people look at you like you have two heads or treat you like you have the plague…it feels hopeless. Being a 49 yo single woman (knowing that my weight probably contributes greatly to that) fitting in at church (that is so family oriented) is so difficult. I would say it takes a lot of thought to conclude that somebody has been born of God , since everybody is born spiritually dead, somehow Rita has discerned this man is on his way to heaven, God did a supernatural miracle in his heart. ~I can tell and that's why I called him a man of God~ Very judgmental.I like that, the only question is. I like 99% of the words in reckless love, but wish he chose a word other than wreckless. I heard him try to explain the word choice on stage - that it is love without regard for ones own safety. Yes, that could be the case sometimes - but would you call a fireman who enters a burning building "wreckless"? I dare say he would be offended by that label. He is trained to deal with dangerous situations. It's only wreckless if you don't know what you're doing. Cory also said that God's love bankrupted heaven. That might be a "juicy" idea, but it is far from true.

The church hurt me and didn’t handle my situation right but I have the same grace god has shown me for that short coming. I love music ministry and enjoy my talent. Coming back I realized my character didn’t match my talent. I heard an awesome quote. God wants to grow my character before he grows my influence….
